I come from a Product Design background, but I bring skills in Interaction design, User Testing, Product Strategy, Front-end Development, and UX/UI.
I downloaded the app and I've experimented with it for about an hour, and from a critical standpoint I have a few ideas on how to make the experience even better:
Obviously there may be development or audience reason these were not implemented and might not be in the future, but it seems to me that they're all pretty easy wins.
I'm energetic, excited about design, and want to make a difference. I find new solutions to difficult problems and believe in technology's ability to make the world a better place. I'm a team player — the way I design is an inherently collaborative process. I communicate effectively and understand the dev process and technologies beyond what's expected of a designer.
Every company needs a website, and there's a perception that it's hard to do. Squarespace and Webflow make it easier, but Universe is the only mobile-native solution for making a personal or business site. That's huge.
I truly believe the highest level of design is making tools that others use to design. Making tools non-designers can use to design is even better. There's just something beautiful about building things that help people build things.
The icon is gorgeous, the little sounds are so fun, and the whole UI is friendly enough to encourage someone to dive into web design for the first time. The integration of a domain service is a big lift, and the grid system is such an innovative way to do web design.
