Problem
We’re living in the Data Age where big tech companies harvest our data to monetize for their own benefit. However, there isn’t any viable way for users to take control how their data is used.
Solution
Funnel is a metaverse for your data. We provide an alternate platform for hosting your personal data, to keep away from prying eyes — and companies. We help users collect data to trade or gain insights safely.
Product Designer
I designed visuals for the team, such as screens for the prototype at the end of the project.
User Tester
Tested prototypes by observing users complete tasks. Asked probing questions to better understand user mental model.
UX Engineer
Wrote code and built circuitry that drove the prototypes, making our tests with them more insightful due to their higher fidelity.
Funnel helps you monitor all the data your devices are collecting about you, in this world and the Metaverse.
On the market, vendors like YouTube can pay you 5¢ per video when you have your location turned on, or Disney could give you a 4% discount on your stay if you share your location and purchases while you're at one of their parks.
We also made a smart sole for people who want more data about how they exercise. Track your steps, walk pattern, how much weight you lift, hydration levels, pulse, and then trade that data for more premium benefits.
