I’ve worked on Google Pay and many other projects in my time in school, and I’ve worked with some of the worlds biggest brands on design strategy and human experience design at ?What If!. I bring a unique set of skills to contribute to the team at Square.
‍
Besides the design experience, I have a ton of skill with the top user experience design tools like Figma, Figjam, Miro, Adobe Suite, Sketch, and Webflow. At SCAD, I taught workshops for Figma as a part of the UX Design club and gave private 1:1 tutoring sessions for building students’ Figma skills. I’m even teaching myself Swift and SwiftUI and hope to launch my own app in the coming months.
‍
I bring a zeal for design and an eye for critique. Every coworker has described me as some kind of refreshing to be on a project with, and it shows in the final deliverable. It’s one of those soft skills I don’t think gets enough credit.
‍
Product design has been my passion since I learned the term “UX”. This opportunity with Square gives me the ability to do fantastic work with a great design team.
‍
I’m also huge into tech. Square is a great tech company that blends an old business (banking and payments) with new technology in a way that’s seamless and delightful.
‍
Users care most about their money, and Square has a unique position to impact their experience with their money in a positive way. Whether it’s enabling the mom and pop shop down the street with new payments hardware or completing a transaction between friends, Square provides a way to do it securely and conveniently.
